Hello my Sipped in California friends! As some of you know, I took a break from blogging on Sipped in California to spend quality time reflecting on my blog and the changes I wanted to make. I also used my time away to have some good one on one time with my dog Stella. Stella had Canine Degenerative Myelopathy and was getting to the end of her time with us. It was on of the hardest things I’ve had to do in life thus far, but we helped Stella cross the Rainbow Bridge on May 9th and are still adjusting to her not being with us. Stella was one of the reasons we started Sipped in California. It was about traveling our beautiful California, visiting local breweries, wineries, and restaurants… a “Have dog, will travel” kind of idea. Well, we then had our daughter and yearned to find dog and kid friendly places to visit.
Sipped in California is about the California we love – Kids, Dogs, Breweries, Wineries, Food, and our Local Community. Somewhere along the line, I got caught up in the social media beer enthusiasts sites that made me anxious that I wasn’t keeping up drinking beer every day and posting pictures. I got tired of being inundated with photos of what people were drinking that day. There’s more to our California than that, right? So I’m back. A fresh perspective, a new attitude, and a desire to share what matters most to me. You will still find us at our favorite haunts here in Sacramento such as Track 7, Bike Dog, Dad’s Kitchen, and The Shack, and in our Land Park neighborhood sipping a good wine with friends, but we also want to bring a sense of community to you with restaurant visits, talks with vendors, made in California items, recipes, entertaining, and more.
So, I’m back and ready to roll! Would love your feedback…so make a comment & share with friends!
