A Day in plymouth california

Last Sunday we headed to Plymouth California to celebrate 2 June birthdays in the beautiful Amador Wine Country.  Our main goal was to stop by Amador Brewing Company for a beer.  After finding that they did not open till 11:30 AM…it was 11 and we needed to kill thirty minutes.  I noticed that just down the road was an “oh-so-cute” remodeled building housing Prospect Cellars. Located in the restored original Post Office building on Main Street Plymouth, California Prospect Cellars is a charming tasting room, with a fabulous little kitchen with equally fabulous food.  This local hangout is just that…you’ll want to stay, hang out, sip wonderful wines(all of which are wonderful),picnic, play cornhole, or simply enjoy talking with the owners.  Needless to say, we forgot about Amador Brewing, bought a bottle of Prospect Cellars Gold Digger Red Wine, the red wine platter, and a beautiful Caprese Panini with tomatoes and basil picked that morning and just hung out at Prospect Cellars.  This will be our new “go-to” spot.  Just loved it!

Yes, yes, we did make it to Amador Brewing and had an equally good time sipping a cool “Gimmie the Juice” Citrus IPA in their relaxed, fun, and cool surroundings while snacking on a lobster roll from Cousin’s Main Lobster.  At Amador Brewing Company, they have reignited over 150 years of local brewing excellence and showcase high-quality craft beer made at the gateway to the Shenandoah Valley.  We are truly excited to see Amador Brewing here as we love a great beer after a day of wine tasting!

Cheers!
