Napa For The Day…
We walked the Earth Day Festival in Downtown Napa. Food trucks galore…and one of my favs… Kara’s Cupcakes where we ordered a Fleur de sel cupcake. Yum!
We also checked out the Phat Salads and Wraps food truck. Washing our California BLT Wrap down with a Lagunitas Brewing Company cool brew, we were set for the day.
We made our way to Domaine Carneros where we sat in the beautiful sunshine on the terrace. This is one of the few wineries where you can relax and enjoy table service on the terrace overlooking exquisite views of the
endless vineyard covered hills Wines may be
tasted in flights, by the glass or by the bottle. I had the 2008 Brut Rosé, and Kevin the 2009 Estate Pinot Noir. We ordered the Sparkling Cheese Plate for $16 which had a selection of two creamy, semi-soft cheeses and one semi-hard cheese

available throughout the day (beginning Feb 6) on the outside stone courtyard or inside the chic walls of the restaurant. We ordered the asparagus, prosciutto cotto, taleggio, red onion, farm egg pizza , $17, and two sides, fried brussel sprouts and cauliflower, and the grilled asparagus, both $7. This was a perfect meal for the end of our day.
Upon my visit to the restroom, I found the flusher amusing, so I snapped this photo.
A great day in one of our most glorious wine regions. So close to home for us…we need to visit more often!
