Saturday we took a little family trip to Winters California. Just 35 minutes from Sacramento, Winters is a great “local Getaway”! The small town of Winters is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is full of charm!
We popped in to Preserve Public House for lunch. The menus changes frequently where they integrate their locally grown preserved and fresh products into their lineup of fabulous sandwiches. Preserve sports 21 beer taps and keg wines…if you are a Craft Beer lover, you will love the ever rotating handles!
We sat down in one of Preserves HUGE corner tables and ordered the Turkey Grinder – house smoked turkey, pepperjack cheese, almond pesto, garlic aioli for $8, and their unique spin on the Wedge Salad – roasted tomatoes, blue cheese, bacon, egg, orange vinaigrette for $7. Our daughter Karly got to order off their cute kids menu…a Hot Dog and glass of Milk. 🙂
Of course one can not stop at Preserve without ordering from the Craft Beer Menu…. My choice, Marin Brewing’s Mt. Tam Pale Ale and my husband stayed local, local with Berryessa Brewing’s Propaganda Pils.
Off to Berryessa Brewing for a little music and brew….
Hot City Jazz was in the house playing their Hot Jazz, Hot Swing, Hot Rumba while we sipped Berryessa Brewing Company’s Common Sense and House IPA.
