A Summer tradition of ours is to visit the Amador County Fair. One of the great things about living in Sacramento is that we are so close to the beautiful Northern California Foothills. Here we get a slice of foothill living…a little slower paced, friendly, and inviting lifestyle. While is was a mere 103 in Sacramento…it was going to be the same in Amador, so we headed up early to enjoy the Fairgrounds before we melted. First things first, get our yearly corn dog fix, an Amador Brewing IPA, and an ice cold fresh squeezed lemonade for my little. Now we can go visit the animals!
This is our FUN at the Amador County Fair!
From our yearly visits to the Amador County Fair, my daughter has decided to follow in my footsteps and is showing great interest in becoming a 4-H-er. She wants to raise a cow or a goat and was disappointed to learn that we can have neither in the City of Sacramento. She is now looking into chickens and bunnies. 🙂
Arts, crafts, baked goods, and jams. The Amador County Fair has it all. Next year plan your trip up the hill. I promise, it wont disappoint!
Stay tuned as we make our way to the Imperial Hotel in Amador City. Dog, kids, and friends in tow.
