Welcome to Amador City!
The second half of our Amador County Fair Weekend where we were delighted to stay at the historic Imperial Hotel. Amador City retains its historic character, and the beautifully restored Imperial Hotel still offers a warm and gracious welcome to visitors to the Gold Country. And I’ll let you in on a little secret…the Imperial Hotel is dog-friendly. Not in the hotel itself, but in a quaint 3 guestroom cottage just steps away. We mingled over wine on the patio while we looked over the Hotel’s regionally acclaimed restaurant menu that features locally grown produce, fresh meats and sustainable harvested seafood.
After leaving the fair we met up with some friends at Jamison’s Ale House on Highway 49. I loved sitting down and enjoying this awesome location that was just meant be an Ale House! Great California beer on tap, and friendly owners. You will learn more about Jamison’s in the near future here on Sipped in California.
Our friends Michele & Thys joined us taking one of the guest rooms. We all enjoyed the cottage’s patio while my daughter and boxer Sophie ran and played on the expansive lawn around the cottage as we made future plans for stays at the cottage.
We’ll see you soon Amador City. Jamison’s here we come!
