Back in August we posted Fun at the Amador County Fair.  We met some very special people there and were saving this information for just this time of year.  The people at Samaritan’s Purse were at the fair sharing Operation Christmas Child and how to pack a Shoebox Gift.

What is a Shoebox Gift?

Operation Christmas Child collects shoeboxes filled with gifts and delivers them to children in need all around the world.  How to pack a Shoebox Gift?

Shoebox: Get a standard size shoebox to pack for a boy or girl.

“Wow” Toy: Select a quality “Wow” toy such as a doll, a soccer ball with pump, or a stuffed animal… you choose the “Wow”.

Other Gifts: Fill with other toys, tooth brushes, school supplies, etc.

Get Personal: Enclose a personal note and photo if you’d like.

Include $9 Donation: Your donation of $9 is critical to cover shipping and other project costs.

Give online through “Follow Your Box” and discover the destination of your shoebox.
