Enjoying kid-friendly Pacific Grove over Spring Break is easy!

#1 Begin with booking a place to stay through Sanctuary Vacation Rentals.  Here you will find the perfect getaway home that will savor all the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula.  Sanctuary Vacation Rentals offer resort accommodations with all the comforts of home.  And yes, they offer beautiful dog-friendly places as well!  We found a great place just blocks from the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary

#2 If you visit the area often, become a member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  The benefits for a family memberships are plentiful.  We just happen to be there on “Members Night” where it’s just you and the aquarium.  We loved being able to have the place to ourselves…well, with other members as well, but the viewing is spectacular!

#3 Find the little things that make you happy.  We enjoyed time at Alvarado Street Brewery in Monterey, Fieldwork Brewing in Monterey, visiting my old elementary school in PG, feeding the chickens at Cowgirl Winery in Carmel Valley, the spectacular sunset from a seat at Mission Ranch, and of course Carmel Beach

Aside from Mission Ranch, each place we visited is extremely kid and dog-friendly.  It was a little sad as this was our first trip without our dog Sophie.  Carmel always has dog bowls of water  in front of every shop…even Tiffany’s!

Mission Ranch was special as we bumped in to neighborhood friends.  We toasted the sunshine, the kids ran and played on the grassy hill,  and even got the awesome opportunity of greeting new born lambs right there on the property.

Obviously, the Monterey Peninsula is a special place for us.  We find we end up enjoying our traditions as well as finding new things to do and see.
