Here are four out-of-this-world Northern California Glamping trips to take this Summer:
Boon Hotel + Spa: Just outside the laid-back town of Guerneville California this eco-friendly retreat with decked out cool tent cabins (14 hotel rooms on site as well). The main focal point of Boon Hotel + Spa is the heated saltwater pool and beautiful lounge area. Dogs are welcome with pre-arrangements. However, Boon is primarily adult focused, so the kids may need to stay home with Grandma.
Boon Hotel + Spa’s mission statement says it all – “We believe life should be lived fully.”
Treebones Resort Big Sur: Along the breathtaking Big Sur Coast you’ll become a part of their “coastal yurt community” with the latest being the gorgeous Autonomous Tent. The tent provides over 500 sq ft of indoor living space, a king size bed, luxurious cotton linens and comforter. Gas fireplace and leather lounging chairs. It has an en suite bathroom including a claw foot shower and flushable composting toilet. You’ll experience true ‘off grid’ living in a luxurious and private location.
Children over 6 years of age are welcome to visit Treebones. If you visit with your older children please note that the yurts and lodge area are very “communal” in nature. No dogs allowed at Treebones.
Autocamp Russian River: Brand new AutoCamp model suites produced by Airstream in the USA, luxe canvas tents, spa-like bathrooms (not available in tents), community clubhouse, indoor and outdoor firepit lounges, family friendly, & dog-friendly with prior arrangements. AutoCamp Russian River is now booking reservations starting on their Grand Opening date of August 15th. Book your adventure today!
Bearpaw High Sierra Camp: Back country tent cabins on the High Sierra Trail with wooden floors and canvas siding, each with two twin beds. Each tent can sleep three people with one on the floor. Down comforters, blankets, sheets, towels and sleeping pads are provided. There is a central shower house with hot showers and flush toilets. Enjoy a generous home cooked breakfast and dinner, or order a boxed lunch for an afternoon hike.
What we like about each of these locations is that they are surrounded by beautiful wine country with delightful Northern California wineries & breweries sprinkled in between. Sounds like a good road trip to me!
