Looking for dog & kid friendly Breweries? We are always on the lookout for easy day getaways to taste local brews and make it family fun as well. Now, there are rules to follow, like making sure your pooch is well behaved around people and other dogs, and on a leash. No loud barking, no begging for food, and certainly no growling! As for the kids, we always pack activities and snacks and have strong rules about no running around patrons and keeping to our table area!
These five local breweries are favorites of ours that we frequent with kids and dog in in tow.
Track 7 Curtis Park is in our Sacramento neighborhood and has a variety of beers for all. Of course with social distancing they have their outdoor patio set up for enjoyment. What I’m liking now at Track 7, Bad Habit Northeast inspired IPA. I love a sunny Fall day at Track 7!
Moonraker Brewing in Auburn California has a massive outdoor patio that suites social distancing just fine! No food requirement for beer on the patio, but if you choose to sit inside you will be required to purchase food from the visiting food truck. We just tried Cabana Hammock, a NE DIPA that was fantastic!
Solid Ground Brewing located in Diamond Springs California is open for dine-in or take out with a lovely patio area. I suggest the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sando or the Solid Ground Burger. My daughter loved the burger with her kid friendly beverage. Solid Ground also serves wine and a rotating cider.
Bike Dog Brewing is near and dear to our hearts. With a taproom in our Sacramento neighborhood and a newly renovated taproom in West Sacramento that shares space with Baker Family Wines. A win-win in my book! Bike Dog is uber dog friendly and always welcomes the kiddos! As a matter of fact, we are heading to our local Bike Dog this evening to sit in the newly erected super tent that they share with Selland’s Market Cafe.
Goat House Brewing in Lincoln California has a super family atmosphere where we can spend the afternoon in the middle of their hop farm, cute goats and Rory the Donkey. Weekends host local food trucks and fun pairings such as Tacos & Beer, Lobster & Beer, and Aloha & Beer. Laid back, simple pleasures and great beer!
